MANUNET is a network of regional and national development agencies, which use their own funding programmes to fund International Collaborative R&D projects performed by companies (preferably SME’s) in the field of manufacturing.
Enterprise Ireland client companies interested in collaborating with other companies from participating countries/regions are invited to submit a pre-proposal for manufacturing related RD&I activities.
This pre-proposal will be evaluated by MANUNET and if it is successful, each of the collaborating partners would apply for funding through their local development agency.
Enterprise Ireland client companies will be supported through the RD&I fund. Higher than normal grant rates will be available due to the collaborative nature of the projects.
There is no limit to the funding requested but applications must be in line with the relevant national funding programme being applied – in this case the RD&I Fund.
Historically, applications for MANUNET support have a 45% success rate and the scheme is tailor made for SMEs. Typically, the applications for support are for close to market projects (high TRL) of short duration and with small consortia (up to five partners, of which two can be from the same country/ region).
Currently, the network comprises 11 countries – Germany, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Russian Federation, Spain and Turkey. Thirteen European regions are also represented across Belgium, Italy, The Netherlands and Spain.
