36 lucky companies have made Technology Ireland’s software awards shortlist.

Technology Ireland, along with sponsors Bank of Ireland, ByrneWallace, IDA Ireland and Enterprise Ireland, is today (1 November) congratulating 36 companies that have been shortlisted for this year’s Software Industry Awards 2017.

More than 70 technology organisations and companies across Ireland entered this year’s awards, and winners will be unveiled at the annual event in The Mansion House, Dublin, on 24 November.

The 36 shortlisted companies will now have to present to eight independent panels of judges comprising CEOs and successful founders of Irish software and digital companies.

The ceremony’s keynote speaker will be Barry Lowry, Government CIO, with sports broadcaster Darragh Maloney on MC duty for the evening.

Director of Technology Ireland, Paul Sweetman, said: “The indigenous software and digital technology sector is Ireland’s fastest-growing export sector. Looking at this year’s Technology Ireland awards entrants, we can see the depth of quality and talent making this happen.”

Sweetman praised the efforts of these companies in “turning Ireland into a global technology powerhouse”.
