Ninety new jobs have been announced at E+I Engineering in Burnfoot, Co Donegal.
The company is investing €9.5 million in an expansion of its Donegal plant with the support of Enterprise Ireland.
Based close to the border with Derry, the company currently employs 1,700 people in over 40 countries around the world, with just under half of that number working in the northwest.
The jobs announcement was made by Taoiseach Leo Varadkar who visited the plant this morning.
E+I Engineering Ltd. is a global leader in the critical power distribution sector, manufacturing electrical switchgear, busduct systems and energy management software, for some of the most recognisable brands and technically advanced companies.
Among its customers are Wembly Stadium and Heathrow Airport.
According to the company, the new investment is the latest in a series of Research and Development projects which began in 2004.
The projects have been rolled out across E+I Engineering's manufacturing facilities in the United Arab Emirates and South Carolina in the USA.
The new jobs created will include roles in engineering, project management, testing and production.
Donegal TD and Minister Joe McHugh said the creation of the new jobs is a massive boost and vote of confidence in the region.
