Abbott Diagnostics Longford was named Medtech Company of the Year at the Irish Medical Technology Industry Awards in the Clontarf Castle Hotel, last night.
The awards were jointly hosted by Enterprise Ireland and IDA Ireland.
Abbott Diagnostics Longford manufactures diagnostic tests, also known as reagents, for distribution across the globe to hospitals and laboratories. The product portfolio includes reagents for the detection of thyroid, fertility / pregnancy, cardiology, renal and metabolic markers.

Director of the IMDA Sinead Keogh said: "It's been nearly a decade since we launched the awards and in that time the sector has prospered with the number of companies in Ireland rising to over 400 this year.
