Ahead of the Women's Academy event in Dublin this Friday, Sarita Johnston, Manager Female Entrepreneurship, Enterprise Ireland and Bernice Moran, co-founder of The Be Sweet Company discuss the push for more Irish female entrepreneurs.

Enterprise Ireland is co-funding a number of tailored development programmes to support ambitious women optimise their business success. Upcoming events include the "Fuelling Ambition" Roadshow aimed at supporting female entrepreneurs with their plans for growth and success. 

A food syndicate of angel investors from HBAN, an all-island angel network led by Skelligs Chocolate founder Colm Healy has joined Enterprise Ireland in investing a combined €400,000 in Soopa Pets.  

The new series of RTÉ’s Dragon’s Den programme saw the Dragons fanning the flames of Irish industry on Sunday when founder of Co Wexford company Holos skincare, Niamh Hogan, succeeded in obtaining an investment of €50,000 from Eleanor McEvoy.
