Knowledge Transfer Ireland, a new innovation service for companies launched

Knowledge Transfer Ireland, the first business innovation resource of its kind in Europe was launched by Richard Bruton T.D. Minister for Jobs, Enterprise & Innovation and Dr. Alison Campbell, Director of KTI on 28th May 2014. Based in Enterprise Ireland, Knowledge Transfer Ireland gives companies access to expertise and knowledge in Irish Higher Education Institutes to grow their business.

Alexandra Milne a student from University of Ulster recently won the Enterprise Ireland Student Entrepreneur of the Year Award and was named ‘College Entrepreneur of the Year 2014’. This year celebrates the 32nd year of these prestigious awards which are open to all third level colleges across the Island of Ireland.

New $172million venture capital fund to set up in Ireland with support from Enterprise Ireland and NPRF
The Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton T.D. recently announced that Lightstone Ventures is partnering with Enterprise Ireland and the NPRF to establish a $172million venture capital fund with offices in Ireland that will invest in innovative Irish companies.
