📍Champagne, France Did you know 48 hectares of Mumm and Perrier-Jouët’s vineyards are dedicated to regenerative viticulture? As part of their commitment to lower environmental impact, champagne vineyard teams use cover crops to help promote healthy soils and biodiversity. Cover cropping is where seeds are planted in-between the rows of vines and around the borders of the vineyard. Cover crops not only help nourish the soil and provide nutrients to the vines, but also protect from soil erosion caused by adverse weather. The small seeds were sown in October and have now grown into beautiful plant and flower covers, providing a home for local wildlife 🦗 #EarthDay Martell Mumm Perrier-Jouët
