Food Industry Networking Morning

The Enterprise Ireland Technology Gateway Network is hosting a Food Industry Networking Morning in Páirc Uí Chaoimh, Cork. The theme of the event is Innovation in the Food Sector.

By attending this event you will have the opportunity to:

  • Listen to relevant food industry presentations and case studies
  • Discuss outsourcing your R&D projects with the Enterprise Ireland Technology Gateway Managers and their research teams
  • Learn about various funding mechanisms available from Enterprise Ireland, including the Innovation Voucher, Innovation Partnership and Agile Innovation Funding programmes
  • Hear from the Enterprise Ireland Brexit team on the challenges Brexit presents to the food sector

Keynote speaker

The keynote address will be given by Owen Brennan, CEO of Devenish Nutrition. Owen is Executive Chairman of Devenish Group and has served as President of the Northern Ireland Grain Trade Association. He was also previously  Chairman of the Livestock and Meat Commission (LMC) and served on the Agri-Food Strategy Board in Northern Ireland. Owen graduated from UCD in 1982 with a degree in Agriculture and in 1992 with an MBA from the Smurfit Business School. In 1997, he led the team which acquired Devenish Feeds, now Devenish Nutrition.

There will also be an opportunity to hear from the Enterprise Ireland’s Brexit Team on the potential impacts of Brexit on the food sector. Participants can also learn about the various funding mechanisms available from Enterprise Ireland, including the Innovation Voucher, Innovation Partnership and Agile Innovation Funding programmes.

Register your place

You must book your place via Enterprise Ireland’s online booking system. On the day, registration opens at 9 am with coffee/networking, with the event formally opening at 10 am. A detailed agenda will be posted nearer the date.
