Enterprise Ireland's workshops to address skills needs of SMEs

Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation, Heather Humphreys has today officially launched Enterprise Ireland’s 'Spotlight on Skills' workshops in response to the evolving skills requirements of Irish companies.

In partnership with the Department of Education and Skills, and collaborating with the Irish Management Institute (IMI), the workshops aim to help companies identify critical skill requirements for successful business development and growth.

Over 40 companies employing 4,000 plus people participated in pilot workshops which were recently hosted by Enterprise Ireland in the North East (Dundalk), Midlands (Mullingar), North West (Sligo) and Dublin. Nineteen “Spotlight on Skills” one-day workshops are planned nationwide in 2018 and are free for Enterprise Ireland client companies.

Over 300 companies are expected to take part allowing them to develop skills plans for the strategic growth of their businesses.
