EntAnon to give start-ups extra €5k if they get CSF funding grant

11 Aug 2016

EntAnon was founded in 2010 as an accountability group by former students of an entrepreneurship course in Dublin

Irish start-ups who are members of Entrepreneurs Anonymous (EntAnon) and who successfully apply for Competitive Start-up Fund finance from Enterprise Ireland will receive a €5,000 investment from the group.

The six-year-old grassroots entrepreneurs organisation, which has 5,000 members, has offered to support companies participating in the Competitive Start-up Fund (CSF), which is worth €50,000, provided by Enterprise Ireland.

EntAnon was founded in 2010 as an accountability group by former students of an entrepreneurship course in Dublin and has evolved into a pan-European coalition.

‘Especially for young founders, raising an extra €5,000 can be incredibly challenging, and we want to help them grow their business as quickly as possible’
– MAXIMILIAN THIEL, ENTANON

The extra funding from EntAnon will enable start-up founders to release the first €25,000 of CSF funding, enabling them to focus on building their start-up rather than trying to raise an extra €5,000 from investors.

Reinforcing success

“Our decision to support successful CSF applications of EntAnon members came from our extensive work with them and their companies and knowing the challenges and opportunities they face,” explained Maximilian Thiel, head of Member Success at Entrepreneurs Anonymous.

“Especially for young founders, raising an extra €5,000 can be incredibly challenging and we want to help them grow their business as quickly as possible.”

The initiative will commence with the upcoming general CSF call, which begins on 21 September.

Successful applications by EntAnon members will make them eligible to receive €5,000.

The CSF call for applications is open to start-ups active in the manufacturing and internationally-traded services sectors, including internet, games, apps, mobile, SaaS, cloud, enterprise, life sciences, cleantech and industrial products.

The CSF funding call will open on 21 September and will close at 3pm on 5 October.
