Irish company Cubic Telecom has extended its partnership with Audi, with the expansion of its connectivity management solution for the new Audi Q8’s across Europe.

Drivers of the Q8 will be able to access secure up-to-date information and entertainment integrated with the Audi Virtual Cockpit, and advanced internet connectivity, which is powered by Cubic.

The connected Audi Q8’s will have a number of integrated infotainment services including real-time navigation, route guidance (traffic, fuel, parking information etc.) and apps such as the news and weather, presented to the driver on a long-lasting hi-resolution screen.

"As the automotive industry undergoes a shift in focus towards integrating connectivity as part of its customer value proposition, Audi is well-known globally for its forward-thinking and innovative work in intelligent driving," Barry Napier, CEO of Cubic Telecom, said.

"We are proud that Audi has chosen Cubic to power the incredible, all-new Q8 with our seamless connected car services."

The top-of-the-Q-line model is new to Audi, and is now available to order in the European market.

Cubic Telecom is today powering approximately 1.5 million cars across Europe and will soon be rolling out its connected-car service in Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
