Education in Ireland recently hosted 19 high school college counsellors from the US and Canada on a tour of all seven Irish universities from Dublin, Galway, Limerick, Cork and Maynooth. The tour consisted of six days campus tours around the country meeting with current North American students in Ireland. Education in Ireland is hosting free Admissions information events for students, parents and High School College Counselors in Boston (6th April) and Chicago (7th April). IT’s Happening Here is a new initiative from the Irish IT industry established in response to the difficulties they are experiencing in sourcing and recruiting in Ireland. The initiative is centred around a jobs board, see www.itshappeninghere.ie for further details
