Enterprise Ireland Backs Ireland’s Largest Single Food Innovation Investment Ever

October brought us great news for the Irish economy with the historic announcement by Kerry Group that they are to invest €100million in developing a Global Technology and Innovation Centre in Kildare. The move will create of 800 permanent and 400 temporary construction jobs.

Enterprise Ireland has established a new €500,000 Competitive Start Fund for Female Entrepreneurs aimed at stimulating high potential female-led business start-ups.

The Minister for Small Business, Mr John Perry launched the new Enterprise Ireland €200,000 Competitive Feasibility Fund aimed at stimulating start ups and creating jobs and growth in the Midlands Region. This fund, which can provide up to €25,000 per project, is now open for applications from entrepreneurs.

CEO survey: overseas markets far more important than local economy

Ireland’s reliance on domestic demand should be a thing of the past. This was signalled by the results of a new survey by Enterprise Ireland and Deloitte which found that almost three quarters (72%) of Irish CEOs see overseas markets as far more significant to Ireland’s economic recovery than the local economy, believing that greater participation in these markets will speed up the process.
