Irish medical devices start-up Neuromod Devices Ltd. launched an innovative new product this week known as the mutebutton system. The product offers a revolutionary new treatment for tinnitus sufferers. 

Neuromod also plans to create 50 new jobs over the next 5 years at its newly opened clinic in Dublin. These highly specialized roles will be key in supporting their global growth targets to become a leading global provider of non-surgical neuromodulation treatments for chronic conditions.

From 15 December, Irish Tinnitus sufferers will be the first members of the public to be able to access the mutebutton treatment through the Irish website (www.mutebutton.ie).

Once purchased the device will be delivered to the Neuromod Clinic in Dublin where patients will be given an appointment to have the device configured to their needs by a qualified audiologist.

A clinically proven, self-administered treatment, Mutebutton is the culmination of over four years of research and development since the company was founded in 2010 by Dr Ross O’Neill.

Neuromod Devices is headquartered in NovaUCD, the Centre for New Ventures and Entrepreneurs at University College Dublin (UCD). The mutebutton device comes on sale from 15th December in Ireland ahead of a wider European launch commencing January 2015.
