The Big Ideas Showcase is the largest gathering of inventors in the country. The event showcased the latest collection of 20 investment opportunities, each with its own merits and business potential. Three Commercialisation awards were presented on the day to previous “Big Ideas” who had been successful in commercialising their research. The winners were Dr Alan Holland, ICT commercialisation award, Professor Dolores O’Riordan, Lifescience Commercialisation Award and Stephen Daniels, Manufacturing, Engineering and Energy Commercialisation Award.
