A total of 22 Enterprise Ireland clients are showcasing at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this week, representing Ireland's strength in emerging technologies.
Mobile World Congress (MWC19) is the world's largest gathering for the mobile industry, showcasing the latest innovations and technologies from around the world.
Five Enterprise Ireland client companies announced major new partnerships at the event today.
Zyalin Group signed deals with five different providers across Japan, Ghana and Lebanon, opening up markets of 35.8 million customers.
The company created the ground-breaking Internet control technology product suite, iKydz, to manage children's online access and screen-time, and will also be launching iKydz Lite, a low-cost version of its internet safety tool.
Cubic Telecom announced a collaboration with Microsoft on the Microsoft Connected Vehicle Platform (MCVP).
This will power next-generation, connected vehicles with advanced navigation, predictive maintenance and remote monitoring of car features hosted on Cubic's global core network.
The Dublin-based global connectivity platform company will also announce details of a partnership with Skoda during the show.
Druid Software has also secured a supply agreement, aimed at addressing the poor in-building mobile coverage and capacity experienced by occupiers of new "energy efficient" buildings.
Meanwhile, Openet won a major partnership deal with Samsung around 5G core network solutions. Under this partnership, Samsung and Openet will cooperate to provide 5G network functions (NFs) in the packet core software solutions.
And mAdme is showcasing its customer engagement platform which is used by mobile operators globally to communicate with their hundreds of millions of subscribers and are expected to announce a major new deal at the show.
Other Enterprise Ireland clients showcasing at Mobile World Congress this year include Decawave, Inhance Technology, Asavie, Ding, Opennet, Taoglas and Alpha Wireless.
Enterprise Ireland's David Byrne said that Mobile World Congress is one of the most important mobile industry events globally.
"Reflecting Ireland's strengths in this sector and the world class innovation in evolving technologies arising from Ireland, there is a strong Irish representation at the event," Mr Byrne said.
"It's a key event for Irish companies to launch new products and build links with new and existing partners," he added.
