Accuris Networks receives $15m investment and hires Jeff Brown as CEO
As demand for mobile data continues to accelerate worldwide, the telecom industry is increasingly trying to meet the challenge of connecting disparate networks. At the center of this movement, Accuris Networks, leader in cellular and Wi-Fi connectivity, completed a $15 million equity funding round. Key new investors in this privately held company are the Ulster Bank Diageo Venture Fund and the China Ireland Growth Technology Fund. In addition, Accuris Networks announced the appointment of seasoned U.S.-based wireless executive Jeff Brown as CEO.

Dublin-based Waratek Helps Global Bank Protect IT Applications
One of the world’s leading financial institutions is one of many that have a large number of IT applications based on various versions of the Java programming language, many of which are older and can't be patched nor updated to fix security vulnerabilities. After the Global Bank performed an inventory and discovered hundreds of internal applications using a mix of old and new versions of Java, they needed a way to protect them from cyber-attackers that exploit software flaws to commit fraud.

Study in Ireland Canada Campus Campaign 2
In February, six of the Institutes of Technology travelled with Enterprise Ireland Canada to several Colleges of Ontario to promote studying in Ireland. As a result of these very successful events, the number of Ontario students who applied to study in Ireland for the 2014-2015 school-year almost doubled. For this reason a follow up Study in Ireland Canada Campus Campaign: Part 2 would was held during the week of October 20th-23rd.
