FinTech Innovation Lab opens its doors to ambitious start-ups

Kevin Sherry, Enterprise Ireland; Alastair Blair, country managing director, Accenture Ireland; Niamh Bushnell Dublin's commissioner for start-ups; and Andrew Desmond, Accenture Ireland.

Accenture Ireland has launched its FinTech Innovation Lab in Dublin, a programme that aims to accelerate technology innovation in the financial services industry and bolster economic and employment growth in Ireland.

FinTech Dublin, for the second year running, is open to young Irish companies that are developing cutting-edge technologies for the financial services sector.

The new 12-week programme offers early-stage companies the opportunity to develop their product or proposition while receiving mentorship from senior executives already well-established in the financial services and technology industries.

The programme is supported by Enterprise Ireland, and leading technology and financial services firms, such as AIB, Bank of Ireland, Citi, FEXCO, Google, PayPal, State Street, Realex Payments and Ulster Bank.

The programme offers six finalist the chance to attend two Investor Day presentations, one in Dublin and one in London, where they will pitch their product to an audience of venture capitalists and financial industry executives.

Applicants are invited to apply to participate in the FinTech Innovation Lab at www.fintechinnovationlabdublin.ie. The application process will close on Friday 30th October 2015.
