Class action: Ireland rugby hero returns to school to launch business drive

Lara O'Connor, Ashley Mitchell and Anna Forbes with Josh Van Der Flier

Josh van der Flier, Leinster and Ireland rugby star and ambassador for the Local Enterprise Offices' Student Enterprise Programme, visited his former school, Wesley College in Dublin, to launch the 2018/2019 programme.

Twenty-six thousand students from 500 schools participated in Ireland's largest second-level enterprise competition last year, with van der Flier taking part in the programme when he was at school.

The programme supports students to set up and run their own businesses, bringing entrepreneurship into the classroom. Next year's national final will take place in Croke Park on May 3.
