Irish Medtech firm Aerogen enters Iranian market
Aerogen, the Galway Medtech company, has become one of the first Irish companies to take the plunge into the Iranian market since sanctions were relaxed last year. The company announced a distribution deal with Daru Darman while visiting Iran last week as part of a trade visit organised by Enterprise Ireland.
Chief Executive, John Power, discussed Aerogen’s plans to grow revenues to €100 million within the next three years with the Middle East due to contribute significantly to its growth. Power said that the medical community in Iran had responded strongly to his product, which delivers drugs using an aerosol rather than orally or via an IV line.
