Sigmar, one of the country’s largest recruitment firms, is to more than double its own workforce with the creation of 150 new jobs by the end of 2018. The company said the roles, which will be in sales, digital marketing and recruitment, will be for both experienced professionals and graduates. 

Cork-based Compliance & Risks will be adding 50 new jobs to its workforce over the next three years. The majority of these jobs will be based at the company’s Cork headquarters, across the areas of research, software development, client support, sales and account management.

Irish Times: Ireland has topped the rankings for innovation among small and medium sized businesses, according to a new European Commission scoreboard.

Irish startup Beats Medical has made it to the finals of a US-based healthcare innovation competition. “We’re delighted to be selected as a finalist in Florida Innovation X, this will allow us to share our work with health professionals from around the US allowing us to impact more people with Parkinson’s,” said founder Ciara Clancy.
